When a learner starts with Opigno Enterprise, they already hold many skills. Rather than making them prove everything again, learners can declare the skills they already have. Accessory skills are accepted directly; the other skills are reviewed by a manager or an administrator. Accepted skills are set to Claimed (100%) and no longer appear in the learner’s skills gap.

How learners declare their skills

Learners declare their skills from the My Skills interface on the learner portal, in two ways. By uploading their CV
  1. The learner uploads their CV (PDF, 20 MB max).
  2. An AI agent analyzes the CV (diplomas and experience) and suggests matching skills from your skill framework, at any level (top-level skills or sub-skills). Each suggestion comes with a one-sentence explanation.
  3. The learner reviews the list: they can remove suggested skills and add other skills using the autocomplete field. For each skill they add, they must enter a short explanation.
  4. The learner submits the list. Accessory skills are claimed directly. Skills with another criticality are sent to a manager for approval.
A learner can upload another CV later, for example after updating it. By claiming a skill in the list For Accessory skills only, the learner can click Claim skill directly in the list of their skills. The skill is claimed immediately, with no approval. See What learners can do, by criticality.

Who reviews the requests

  • Managers see the requests of learners at their own hierarchy level or below.
  • Administrators see all requests.
See Hierarchy inheritance for how scopes are defined.

Reviewing a request

  1. In the back office, in the Skills section, open the list of pending requests.
  2. Open a request to see the learner’s CV and the list of requested skills, each with its explanation (from the AI agent or from the learner).
  3. For each skill, click Approve or Decline. A request can be partially approved.
A decision is applied as soon as you click Approve or Decline, and cannot be reverted.
Skills the learner has already acquired or claimed are displayed read-only, with no action buttons.

What happens after approval

Each approved skill is assigned to the learner with:
  • status Claimed,
  • source CV approval,
  • progress 100%.
Because a person has reviewed the claim, approved skills are accepted even though they are Essential or Important for the learner.
NOTE: If the learner later receives a skills profile where a claimed skill has a higher criticality than before, that skill and its sub-skills are reset. See When a learner’s profile changes.
